Welcome foolish mortals to the Haunted House of Alton Towers!

The Alton Towers Haunted House attraction was designed by John Wardley with the help and support of Sparks Creative Services. The process began back in the 1990s and was ready for opening on March the 31st 1992.

The Haunted House attraction was the first of its kind built in the UK and was ground breaking for its time. However its individualism and terror was to be short lived, with the ride receiving an interactive make-over some ten years later.

This website allows you to see why this attraction was such a fantastical piece of eerie theatrical brilliance from beginning to end.
