Used as a store room. This is the room behind the door in the corridor that links the gallery and the drawing room. The board on the wall covers the window that looks out onto the graveyard.
The remains of an old table that once stood stately in the drawing room of the queue area, this table used to be covered by a lacy table cloth with a blue and white vase on the top. Note the large perspex panel in the corner, from the fireplace.
This corrugated metal stud wall separates the queue area and the hidden room originally on the other side of the wall hung the portrait with the moving eyes; the block work behind the girder is the side of the chimney stack, the fireplace in the queue area of the drawing room.
Another item of furniture that has been removed due to vandalism. This small plant stand used to be near the fireplace when used, I'm not sure what the white plastic weight was used for but this and other remnants of the haunted house are hidden away in this mystery room.
Video wall boxes, these must have been here since the 2003 changeover as they refer to the screens used to display the instructions video in the queue area.
Hidden in the corner of the room is part of a stone balustrade; the only place I know where this is used is in the ghoulish garden area near the statue of death.

The poltergeist room, here the walls creak and the lightning flashes
The screaming bust this was another new addition when the haunted house changed over to Duel. Originally there was a different bust that was inanimate.SS.
This is the mechanism that works the screaming bust.
This is a room used by staff to for their breaks. It is situated behind the screaming bust. If you ever ride and there is no sound effect on the screaming bust it means someone is having a break. The staff tend to turn off the sound as it is too loud.
Another photo of the green room area behind the screaming bust. Only accessible from the outside.
In the green room are some of the old props, this picture once hung in the drawing room before being vandalised.
Many of you who have rode the Haunted house will remember the tea service, unfortunately removed again due to vandalism.

Behind the scenes look at Trommels Tunnel. Trommel is a Dutch word for Drum.
Trommels tunnel from the other side. Although named Trommels tunnel the actual haunted house name was the Tunnel of Doom.

This section of track leads into the window zombies. Also where the Giant was situated.

Looking back at the zombie window again this is where the giant looked through in the old haunted house.
Zombie attack, again originally part of the giant effect. This was where his fingers would crash through the windows.
This frame once housed one of the portraits in the ride station entrance . Sadly now used as a prop in the house
Note the markings to show where this portrait would have been hung during the construction of the haunted house.
It was here that you could hear the 'Are you scared of spiders'? sound effect with a small shadow of a spider seen on the wall behind
The remains of the giant spider that originally dropped down on the car as you entered underneath

The remains of the old skeleton effect above the track in the skeleton corridor a skeleton would drop forward this is also the place where originally the ghost that haunted this corridor would fly to.
The skeleton Corridor with very little happening in it now
The Skeleton bed effect now lies in a state of disrepair
The Skeleton in the bed has now lost his skull
This effect used to illuminate as the car rode past and the skeleton would rise from his bed.

An unknown effect! I have rode this ride from the start but can not remember this mannequin head. Possibly an effect that was never finished.
